With the aim of strengthening the security of our online platform, it has become obligatory for rent payments to take place online on Roomlala's payment platform. Although our technical measures limit risks on Roomlala, accepting payments outside of our platform still exposes you to them. In case anything goes wrong with your reservation, and if it was not paid through Roomlala, it is unfortunately impossible for us to intervene. Online reservations have been established so that these unnecessary risks no longer exist.
There are 2 possible ways of online payment:
Case 1: You ask or obligate the tenant to pay online
Case 2: The tenant pre-pays the rental online and asks you to confirm the reservation
Case 1: How do I ask my tenant to make a payment?
To ask your tenant to make the payment for the rental, navigate to your Roomlala inbox and select the discussion history of the tenant in question, then click “Pre-accept”.
At this point, make sure to verify the dates and rental price which appear automatically on the left hand side.
Case 2: What should I do when I receive a request to confirm the reservation?
Roomlala notifies you by email when a tenant makes a request for confirmation of a reservation (i.e. has taken the lead to pay for the rental online, via our website).
You can confirm the tenant’s reservation or refuse it if it does not suit you.
Before confirming a reservation, please be sure to double-check the details of the reservation: price, date of arrival, and date of departure.
How do I receive the payment for my rental?
As soon as a reservation has been confirmed and paid for, the tenant’s account is debited, but the payment to the landlord is processed only 48 hours after the tenant’s arrival at the accommodation.
In order to receive your payment, please ensure that you have entered your bank details in the “My Profile” section of your account page.
What are the benefits of online payment?
By booking online, Roomlala becomes a trusted third party enabling you to rent your accommodation with complete peace of mind.
Cancellation of the reservation: In the case of a cancellation by the tenant, the landlord is compensated according to the time remaining before the planned arrival date. Find out more
Personal Liability Insurance: Roomlala’s insurance covers damage to property or personal injury caused by the tenant(s) of the accommodation.
