If you would like your payment to be secure, and benefit from Roomlala’s free insurance (consult our page Roomlala’s Insurance lets you rent with confidence), the reservation payment can be made directly through the Roomlala site.
There are two cases in which you can reserve through online payment:
Case 1 – You take the initiative to pay the reservation online
Case 2 – The landlord asks you to confirm and pay for the reservation online
How do I make a rental request?
When the landlord accepts your rental request, its status will appear as ‘Discuss the reservation’ in your Roomlala inbox.
To make a reservation request, and take the initiative to pay the reservation, go to the ‘Inbox’ section in your account, click on the discussion with the landlord in question, and then click ‘Reserve’.
Your payment is protected thanks to our payment provider, Paybox. Any card details which you provide will be encrypted.
At this stage, no money has been debited: you have simply given confirmation for a hold authorisation on your card.
The reservation will be effective as soon as the landlord has approved your payment. The rental will then be confirmed definitively, and the amount debited.
How do I confirm a reservation request sent by a landlord?
Roomlala will notify you by email as well as in your Roomlala inbox when a landlord sends you a reservation request. The landlord is thus requesting to proceed with rental payment online via Roomlala.
Before confirming your rental, ensure that you have checked all the details of the rental: the price and the arrival and departure dates.
Click on ‘Confirm’ and enter your payment information. You will be redirected to the 3D secure page of your bank. You will need to enter a code received by text to finalise and secure your reservation. Check with your bank that the 3D secure option is active for your card, especially for non-French banks.
As soon as the payment is approved, your reservation is confirmed.
